Pipe bursting is used to replace aging sewers and water mains with minimal excavation. This can save our valued customers money by reducing the amount of time replacing pipes. In addition, pipe bursting can be used when the sewer or water main is under sidewalks, driveways, or close to other utilities. This process can be used when upsizing your existing pipe diameter.
Pneumatic Pipe Bursting
- Uses an air power tool that jackhammers its way through existing pipe.
- Small excavations are made at the service connections, to connect the new pipe to the existing pipe.
Static Pipe Bursting
- Same process without the air and jackhammering action.
- Uses force to pull bursting head through the host pipe.
